He had called my husbands work place saying his name was sam smith also.. but, wouldn't leave no details.. After reading this and these comments my husband said he was not returning his phone call.. We have also recieved phone calls from other places saying about payday loans that we know we did not do and we have the bank statements to prove it.. but, the guy said that if we didn't pay so amounts of money he would have the sheriff here with a warrant.. Well, in our area in order for that to happen he has to go through our local magistrates office and they have to send out paperwork certified mail first to the complaints being made. If no response that is when they send out the Sheriff and police officer.. Some ppl are just plain stupid and morons and they think if they threaten with arrest we aren't gonna check into it first to find out if it is legit expecially when we know there was no payday loans taken out and put electronically into our account.. We aren't that stupid to give out our account information.. stupid ppl..
Today I received a call from Accatel, 281-763-0439, a person identifying himself as Craid from Phillips and Akers Law Firm. He proceeded to tell me that he wanted to talk about the lawsuit from AMERICAN CASH NET for an unpaid payday loan. I asked him to repeat all the information again, then I calmly told him he was a SCAM, to quit calling and that I have made a police report. These people will call EVERYDAY and harass you....DO NOT fall into their trap.
A sam smith left a message on my phone also, i called back and the lady who answered said i owe money for a payday loan which was absurd because there was no such thing in my bank statements. They have broken accents and threaten you.
i always asked them the name of the company, & who am i talking to, what is this in reference to, and then I tell them that this phone conversation is being recording and do they understand this, they always hang up
