SCAM!!!!! TRUST NO ONE who identify themselves as Windows Tech Support or Microsoft Tech Support! They are trying to access your computer illegally. They do this either by turning into a BOT to further attack other computers or locking it and your files "hostage" for a cash ransom. DO NOT go to their web page DO NOT give them your name or Credit Card or any other information!
They seem to be organized have had multiple males and a few female callers from this number, All callers are using the same tired old script to try and get your information. They may even have you NAME when they call. I have tried hanging-up, simply telling them i KNOW it's complete bull, and playing along for 20 minutes to waste their time. Nothing stopped the calls. I've had them traced to a region in India know for telemarketing scams. good luck to anyone who is unlucky enough to be on their call list.
Received a call and they hung up. I don't answer calls unless I know the person. This is Click4Support who was indicted by the Federal Trade Commission except they didn't shut down their call center in India. Same people who spoof their numbers and call themselves Avec Vous and will probably give you another fraudulent name. The person who stated he let them remote on his computer is one of the scammers. Once they get on your computer, they get your unique computer wifi and hardware address and will be able to remote in again even if you get your computer erased or change your router. They will get into your printer if it is a wireless printer and scan everything you print or fax. It is for identity theft purposes and to see if you have your banking online. They are obviously looking for your social security number if you have ever entered it on your computer.
