I got a voice recording message from this number claiming that I need to call back to discuss my "case" or I will be reported to local authorities. At least they coulda had a real person saying all that which makes me think its some kind of ransom prank

I got the same message. THIS IS A SCAM, OBVIOUSLY. Don't fall for this. The IRS is required to send you proper notification and this means US Mail. It is the law. Absolute bulls**t
