This has happened to my sister before and we contacted the IRS ourselves and reported the number. Now they're calling me. I don't fall for this cause I know I have never done anything wrong.
Got the same call saying I had 4 serious allegations against me and 24 hours before local cops would arrest me. Called back and only got music playing.
I'm getting the same calls. First a person stating something about the IRS, then a few days later, I have alleged charges and if I don't call back, I will be arrested. Really?! I'm a nurse, and trust me my employer's would be questioning me immediately if I had any allegations against me that would cause me to go to jail. This is ridiculous.
Received the IRS scam call from that number as well. here is the voicemail transcript: You've got a new voicemail from (301) 245-0420.Transcript: We have just received a notification regarding your tax filing from the headquarters which will get expired in next 24 working hours and once it get expired after that you will be taken under custody by the local cops as there are 4 serious allegation pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you the number to reach us is 300 one 245420. I repeat 300 one 245420. Thank you.
