caller ID: STARTEL, LLC - left no message. My answering machine took call since I do not pick up if I don't know name and or phone number. Some say it's a Doctor's office in Bowie, MD, others say it's someone asking for their account number with PEPCO to help them lower their electric bills -- I SAY IT'S A SCAMMER!
I received two calls from 301 262 7741, the first time no identification appeared. A guy said they would lower my electric bill, I said was not interested in changing companies he just hung up on me. I called back, it rang once and disconnected. I received another call this time the ID read iNexus.
I've received MULTIPLE calls from a few different #'s listed as StarTel, LLC & Out of Area: (301) 262-7741 & (856) 335-1765. Often, no one ever answers and I only have what seems to be a deadline, but when someone is there, mostly they are persistent, rude, and assume I will switch to them as my new electric provider or that I have not educated myself enough to know how the "new" deregulated pricing system works for electricity in NJ. This is NOT new and I often tell them I have a provider I am happy with & would like to be removed from there lists, as they call many times throughout the week. This is generally the point at which I am hung up on, only to be recalled a few hours or days later with the same pitch. Also, you can not ring these numbers back, as you will only receive a busy tone.
