Starion Energy CAN NOT do anything with your account or customer number EXCEPT pay your bill or apply your savings. These are the only two things they can do with it. they can't get your social security number or any other valuable information. period.
They can switch your energy provider from whomever you currently have to them using your account number. In any event, the call is a violation of the Do Not Call law.
I read all the posts, wierd thing is that I just got off the phone with PEPCO ( about my bill) and the [***] [***] was trying to force feed me regarding saving money. I'm thinking who in the hell has ever wanted me to save me a buck-thought it was weird. Then, BAM-gotta call from IVR 301-262-7741. Same # different co. name. So I look up IVR-it is a voice enhancement phone software [***], yep. So it prolly is a collection agency. Oh and I also found the Startel linked to this a-hole. So what now? Maybe someone is pretty fing shady in telemarketing at the PEPCO and has some scam running with some flake, think about it the PEPCO [***] have our information..... Oh and who the frick needs a surgeon-whats that about?
