I too got a call and the man had a heavy accent. After having to say Hello 3 times he finally came on the line sayibg the same crap about me receiving a Government grant. Before I let him dive into his 'speech'I asked him how much do I have to pay, he said nothing. I let him go on because I HAD applied for a grant some months ago. So he asks for a bank account number or a prepaid card number I asked how long it would take to be on the card and he starts over talking me, which started pissing me off. I asked for a supervisor and he said I could talk to one AFTER I gave him my info. I gave him a LOT of vulgar words and hung up. When I tried to call back it was no longer in service, after a whole 3 seconds. So I googled the number and came across THIS. I think and hope they get reported since they ARE attempting fraud under the Governments name.
A man with heavy accent called & claimed to be from the United States Government Grants Department. I could barely understand what he was saying & had him repeat it several times. He claimed that I had been awarded a grant for $7800. Since I had never applied for a grant I told him I knew it was a scam & hung up on him. The idea that the U.S. Govt. is calling my cellphone to give me free money is laughable!! I hope no one falls for this!
Just received a call from a forein man claiming to be from the US Federal Government Grants department, he said I had been awarded $7000 in free grant money and wanted to know how I wanted to except it. He asked for a bank acct, credit card or if i wanted cash in hand. I told him I had to bank acct and didnt own any credit cards, he then proceeded to tell me that i was going to be transfered to a man named Adam Foster and gave me IMPORTANT ID NUMBERS FOR WHICH I NEEDED TO GIVE TO ONLY THIS ADAM FOSTER GUY. THEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO TRANSFER ME AND THE PHONE HUNG UP. I am assuming that he hung up on purpose because I DID NOT provide him with any bank info.
