I too got a call and the man had a heavy accent. After having to say Hello 3 times he finally came on the line sayibg the same crap about me receiving a Government grant. Before I let him dive into his 'speech'I asked him how much do I have to pay, he said nothing. I let him go on because I HAD applied for a grant some months ago. So he asks for a bank account number or a prepaid card number I asked how long it would take to be on the card and he starts over talking me, which started pissing me off. I asked for a supervisor and he said I could talk to one AFTER I gave him my info. I gave him a LOT of vulgar words and hung up. When I tried to call back it was no longer in service, after a whole 3 seconds. So I googled the number and came across THIS. I think and hope they get reported since they ARE attempting fraud under the Governments name.
This number called me as well. When I told him I would contact my attorney and have him call him with whatever he needs he god mad and said he had to have to the info within 15 min to his Department Supervisor. Needless to say he hung up when I kept repeating I would have my attorney call him.
