I too got a call and the man had a heavy accent. After having to say Hello 3 times he finally came on the line sayibg the same crap about me receiving a Government grant. Before I let him dive into his 'speech'I asked him how much do I have to pay, he said nothing. I let him go on because I HAD applied for a grant some months ago. So he asks for a bank account number or a prepaid card number I asked how long it would take to be on the card and he starts over talking me, which started pissing me off. I asked for a supervisor and he said I could talk to one AFTER I gave him my info. I gave him a LOT of vulgar words and hung up. When I tried to call back it was no longer in service, after a whole 3 seconds. So I googled the number and came across THIS. I think and hope they get reported since they ARE attempting fraud under the Governments name.
I got a call from this number. A man with a heavy accent asked for an individual. I told him that he had the wrong number. He replied "mam what is your name." I responded "sir you have the wrong number. You do not need my name." He said "mam I need your name if I have the wrong number." I hung up on him. I have received like 6 more calls in less than 24 hours. The phone rings and no one is on the line. I tried to call the number back I got a recording stating that the number is not a working number.
Have been receiving multiple phone calls from this 301-616-9723. I received 8 calls Sat, Aug 22, I wish these JO's would go get a real job, no good thieves.
