They called both my home phone and cell phone Sunday asking for my elderly father who lives in another state. Refused to give me any information. My father is well off and never skips off on bills. I wouldn't give them his number because he doesn't need to be harassed so I gave them my address to send me whatever bill they claim is due so I can check it out (he lives with me half the year anyway). I doubt they will. I also asked them not to call here again.
If they continue to call I think I will employ a great deterrent to unwanted calls that I've heard of: Get a blow horn or loud whistle to blow into the phone. (But try to protect your own ears first... maybe lay the phone down so you can cover your ears.)
