Who called from 3018829980

Got a call on my cell but left no message.

Caller ID: New Market, MD
1-301-882-9980

I answered and the recorded message started, "This call is from..." Cut off.

I received a call from this number at 9:17 this morning.

A 10 second silent message was left on my answering machine.

This number shows up on my caller ID daily, including weekends. The name description is: New Market, MD. I answered once and they asked for someone by a first name I did not recognize. What do they want? How can I report them and make them stop calling?

Yes - it is a Firefighter's organization asking for money.  I never give money over the phone, or any personal information like credit/debit card numbers, or anything else.
At least it's not a bill collector....
