After reading the comments and getting a call looking for Penny it occured to me a week ago that the Penny they are looking for (they gave me her last name) is the person who bought my house last year. I took my phone number with me. Today my daughter got a call from Vertifax who is also looking for the same name. If you google the name it seems to be the same situation. Could this be a collection agency looking for someone b/c they do ask me if I know the person. Funny that they gave me her last name and when I got off the phone I put 2 and 2 together. They are not paying their bills and the address is probably coming up with my phone number.
Someone from this number has been calling me 3 to 4 times per week and the caller ID indicates "Bank One". I talked to them once and was told it was regarding a past due account. However, I do not have any accounts with Bank One. It is my understanding that Chase purchased Bank One several years ago. This sounds suspicious.
I get a call several times a week from this number, and the never leave a message. I never answer it. I just googled it and found this info. Glad I don't answer. Sounds like some sort of scam to me.
Yeah, they called me too, they were looking for a Kevin something....Said they were recording the conversation and I was like "I dont Know any kevins"
