After reading the comments and getting a call looking for Penny it occured to me a week ago that the Penny they are looking for (they gave me her last name) is the person who bought my house last year. I took my phone number with me. Today my daughter got a call from Vertifax who is also looking for the same name. If you google the name it seems to be the same situation. Could this be a collection agency looking for someone b/c they do ask me if I know the person. Funny that they gave me her last name and when I got off the phone I put 2 and 2 together. They are not paying their bills and the address is probably coming up with my phone number.
They don't leave message on my phone voice mail. When I call back they want a whole credit card number. I am not about to do that because I don't know who they are and who they want. When I have answered one they can't speak english well enough to understand who the hick they are and what they want. I asked for a supervisor and he hung up. They call every 90 minutes. How do we get this stopped.
I just got my cellphone a week ago, they called twice today and no message. I don't know how they got my number. I've only given my number to two friends, and my parents.Is it possible to block them? I'm on verison, anyone else?
Called 5-10 times a day. Same number. He asked for my father. He was an american. I said what is this about and he hung up. I called back and an indian guy answered asking for a 16 digit number to my account. [***] up [***] I swear.
This number is also calling me constantly. Do not answer guys-this is obviously a scam. I work for Chase and they will never ask for sensitive information over the phone like your social security number. Do not answer this phone call-do not give them your information!
