I have recieved two calls from this number since yesterday. I'm not sure who it is due to them leaving a message so fast I can understand them at all. It is a foreign gentleman that keeps leaving the messages but like I said I can't understand him. If it is someone from Salle Mae I'm not sure why they have my number due to the fact that I don't have student loans and have never taken student loans out.

I have never had any business with them, but they call my phone from this number and from 800-722-1300 INCESSANTLY. Their 'electronic call' leaves a voice mail for me to call back another number and it is loaded with press this for this and press that for that. I called back ONE TIME to tell them they have the WRONG #, but I'm sure not putting myself through that.
If their stupid electronic dialer could HEAR my voice mail/answering machine, it would HEAR my NAME and know I'm NOT whoever it is they are trying to reach.
They are surely breaching that person's privacy by leaving a message with that person's name, though.
So, there you go...and, now you know that they pay Verizon for their phone system as well.

Sallie Mae/Department of Education debt collection. They were calling my newly assigned cell number to speak with some person who can't be bothered to pay their bills. Call them back at 800-722-1300 and keep hitting 0 until you get dropped to a live person and request that they remove your number... Unless you actually owe them money, then you should probably call them back and work out a payment plan because student loan debt does NOT go away...
