I have been receiving phone calls from Sallie Mae for weeks. They were looking for someone who did not live here. Just call the number back (302-283-2982) and ask them to remove the number from their list.
Sallie mae calls for other reasons also, not just for those who aren't paying their loans. I get calls from them letting me know when my loan has been transferred or sold to/ from another servicer, I also get calls from them when a large payment has been made towards my loan as well. Sometimes the calls are courtesy calls.
The Sallie Mae Department of Education and Student Loans, phone # (302) 283-2982, has been calling me every day since February 2012 when I first got this prepaid phone. I have told them several times that I am NOT THE PERSON they are looking for, but they continue to call and harrass me. One time when I answered the phone, the person on the other end started hollering & screaming at me, telling me that I owe money. I am debt free, retired, 100% disabled veteran...the person that this caller is looking for, Kelly Umstead, is NOT ME. Please tell these folks to stop calling & harrassing me.
