I was being harassed by this number, and so did some investigating. The company, collegeforcareers.com, is owned by Marketing Direct/Marketing Links Direct Inc. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Their phone number is 954-727-1323.
All attempts to contact them and be taken off the list have otherwise failed. Hopefully they take me off now that I have located and contacted their main office.
These people obviously call from a different number once they realize you don't want to answer from the first number they called you from. First they kept calling me from 646-884-7011 from early dawn to late afternoon. All day long they call without leaving a message, so I don't answer back. Then they block their number hoping for you to answer, but still no message; so i don't call back nor answer the call. OBVIOUSLY these people are doing something that's not right whether it's a government job they are doing or whether its a criminal job their doing it's still OBVIOUS that it is wrong and way too suspicious what they are doing. One time my husband answered a call when I had told him so many times not to answer those calls, but since it was so early at dawn he thought it was important and answered it without even looking at the number. Then he gave it to me after a few questions, when I answered I kept giving my husband a mean look in the eye and then he got the picture after reading my face. The person on the phone was a female voice machine asking for my age, my birth date and my social security number. Since I had RECENTLY received a similar message from the WIC office I started believing it was them. So I gave them my age and birth date, and then I don't recall if I gave them My social Security number or not, but if I did, I messed up really bad! I was so sleepy that instead I hung up. As soon as I hit the pillow I wanted to make sure that it was the WIC office and then I realized that it wasn't, the very first number was a 516 area code. Soon a 646 area code started calling me after I hung up, I never answered nor husband. After many weeks of not answering that number, they tried blocking the number and still didn't answer. Then they used another number which is now 302-394-6821!!! What ever it is they are criminals for trying to steal identities through phone. Never call them personally to tell them not to call you back unless you answer the phone. I believe that your phone will get tapped if you follow their instructions by phone! Instead go to your local phone office and tell them the situation and to block that number for you and they will. Today early morning my husband did the same stupid thing again as of august 19, he answered the phone without looking at the number and passed it to me again. I looked at him with a dirty look and he got the message, as I answered, the same female machine asked for my name and asked me if that was correct, I said Yes. Then told me to press 1, so I did then a male answered and said how can I help you.....WTF!!!! I said you called me and he sounded so nervous asking me for my insurance number...WTF!!!! I told him may I know whats the purpose for this, and that [***] gave me an attitude!!!!! so hung up!!!!
