I got the same call two days in a row I blocked their number on my cell phone (after I googled the number and saw it was scam) and then they started call my home number I got nasty with them threaten to take legal actions put me on hold tried to call back and no answer.
It was 2 different callers both males but very hard to understand what they were saying it def seemed like a cell phone they were on, didn't state names, company names, or the bank name!
Called my cell phone and left me a voicemail. Claimed to be James Kaiser from the Pretrial Invention Department. Demanded to have his call returned by myself (allegedly) or my attorney. No idea who this guy was even calling, didn't use my name. Sounds like a fishing scam.
Apparently this is the latest scam going around. The call I got was from a person allegedly known as James Kaiser from the Pretrial Intervention Department. There was another one a year or so ago calling people at random who claimed to be from the "Department of Law and Enforcement." Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way for anyone to get these scammers shut down. Several years ago, I had a call from someone supposedly from Africa (had a very strong accent) who claimed his associate wanted me to call him regarding a business loan. I hadn't applied for any loan and at the time had an unlisted phone number, so I have no idea how they found my number. I got another one a couple of years ago who freaked out when I interrupted him and told him I had reported him to the FBI, the CIA, and Interpol. He hung up and never called back. :)
by the way, the number that "James Kaiser" or whatever his real name is called from was 3039514619. From seeing all the messages here, these people were on a roll today. Whatever you do, do NOT provide any personal information.
