The (305) area code is Miami Florida, where I live. I think that your advise is really stupid. I get calls from (305) every single day and they are not scammers. Don't you think it is bad advise to block the whole area code? What if you live in that area code?
Got a call from a woman from this number who knew dome of my husbands medical history. Wants my health insurance id card info to send pain cream and bill them. She's going to call back in the pm. I'm not comfortable with this and won't be answering her call.
Let's see - the call was unsolicited - meaning, you didn't call her. No company name was given (at least from what you say). The caller wants your insurance ID card info. I would be very cautious - sounds very much like a scam - the caller could be anyone. You're wise not to give that information to some random caller. Just because a caller has some information about you or your husband, doesn't make the caller legitimate.
Thank you for your input - I blocked the number yet they still call at least 1-2 times daily sometimes more. I had my number put on several do not call lists yet they still get it.
They call us every other day or so from...it says Homestead Florida on the Caller ID. We don't answer it, but maybe I should, just to see what they try to con out of me.
