They called and said they were my grandchild who was in jail and needed money to get out. He supposedly traveled to Florida for a funeral and got arrested for a DUI. He said a lawyer would call back with details. A "lawyer" called back a couple minutes later with additional details about the arrest and said he called grandpa because he didn't want to call his mom and dad. We said we needed to call his mom first to make sure. He was home in bed, and calls back to the number went direct to voicemail.
I have been getting calls from this number weekly and then yesterday and today. I am hoping that they cannot extract info from my phone. I do not intentionally answer these calls, but there are times when I do not look at the caller ID. I registered my # years ago on the Gov. no call list, and I have reported this number. I wish my phone carrier had a block number option.
I just got a call from this number, when I picked up a loud siren when off and a prerecorded message (also very loud) talking about car insurance blared in my ear. Which PISSED ME OFF. So I waited to see if a remove from list option was available, it wasn't. So I left them a rather loud and angry message where I shouted off a many expletives (there were many and I really don't remember what I said verbatim) and wished their mothers would all die of cervical cancer. I sincerely hope this pisses of at least one of those [***]!
Got a call from these people. Started off as a loud siren saying alert Florida drivers, stayed tuned for discounted insurance bla bla bla. Press 2 for more info." I didn’t press 2, just waited for more options. Just got disconnected. Somebody needs to track these people down and punch'em square in the nose! This has to be illegal solicitation somehow.
