They called and said they were my grandchild who was in jail and needed money to get out. He supposedly traveled to Florida for a funeral and got arrested for a DUI. He said a lawyer would call back with details. A "lawyer" called back a couple minutes later with additional details about the arrest and said he called grandpa because he didn't want to call his mom and dad. We said we needed to call his mom first to make sure. He was home in bed, and calls back to the number went direct to voicemail.
What is the point of registering your phone number on the government DO NOT CALL registry, if these type of calls are still coming to your telephone?
I just don't understand how this automated phone call, from 305-330-4525 comes through, without being able to be tracked.I got a call from this number yesterday, and I just hung up, but was surprised that a number even showed up. There has got to be a way to put a stop to this invation of a person's rights to privacy.
Unanswered call received from this number one 10 Jan 10 at 8:24 pm. No message was left.
