They called and said they were my grandchild who was in jail and needed money to get out. He supposedly traveled to Florida for a funeral and got arrested for a DUI. He said a lawyer would call back with details. A "lawyer" called back a couple minutes later with additional details about the arrest and said he called grandpa because he didn't want to call his mom and dad. We said we needed to call his mom first to make sure. He was home in bed, and calls back to the number went direct to voicemail.
funny thing is i was just online looking for health insurance, then all of a sudden this # calls me about 5 minutes after. after reading these comments, I'm assuming it must be someone trying to sell insurance. thanks!
