A phony computer company wanting me to let them remote into my pc
their speech goes like'' hi this is Mary from windows, your computer is infected with a trojan etc etc etc'' then if your gullible enough to let them remote into your pc ,they disable your ability to log in to windows, you might be able to boot into safemode and run a system restore, or go back to factory settings and lose everything. I know of 3 people that fell for it , they are senior citizens, who are learning about the scum of the world ,and to tell these a-holes to drop dead and hang up.
I got a similar phone call except the lady told me that my computer wasn't receiving updates. Told me she was from some generic "Lab Tech Company". I asked her how she got my phone number and she told me from my ISP. I asked her what my ISP was and she had no clue lol. I knew it was a false call but she tried to pass off as a Windows technician. I would have toyed around with her but didn't want to waste my time. Users beware.
