***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.
Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

got a similar call - i was given an number to be called - notified my son and then i realized it was a scam - he cancelled his card - i dropped the ball on this- i know better
Phone call from 305-417-6255 at my mom's house asking if she would sign a warrant for my arrest. Scammer!!!! Who is this and how do they get relatives phone numbers!! Stop them!
These K ock suckers call me from time to time. I get the same jazz. Threatening to be served court papers over an old debt which I know nothing about. I said you guys are full of sh*t. I've gotten your calls many times before. Go ahead serve me with papers or what ever it is you think you can do. They just hang up when you call their bluff.
I keep getting these calls from Accufile. Same BS about calling the stated # or I would be served papers. Don't know what the hell they are talking about. I told the guy I was calling his bluff go ahead and serve me papers because I know its a scam. He hung up. I can't believe the folks that fall for this crap. There is so much phone call and internet criminal activity today is pathetic.
