I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
Same thing here, repeatedly in recent months, and from different phone numbers they're spoofing (i.e. not real numbers or else ones that don't accept callback). If i can actually get a real person online by pressing 1 or whatever, I say the most obscene thing i can think of. Sometimes in the morning when i'm really sharp i come up with a good one. Get creative. Hasn't stopped the calls yet, but maybe if enough people do it, they'll get sick of hearing stuff like that shouted at them and find another line of work (sorry, i can't give any examples here, but think large, unusual objects shoved violently into bodily orifices...of your mother.... death threats might help too.) Btw, the first couple of times they called, i pressed the # to be taken off their list, but of course that did nothing.
Haven't really paid attention to the calling #s until I received 3 calls in <4 hours yesterday and one today from the same 2 #s... 503-457-1085 and 305-587-2019. If they ever catch these crooks what do you suppose the penalty is?
Do something real other than profanities to the caller - FILE A COMPLAINT WITH FTC: Read this everyone:http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2011/12/roycox.shtm
THIS IS ILLEGAL - hopefully they will be sued.
Unbelievable, we work at night and they wake me hours before I am suppose to get up for work and then I can't go back to sleep. I am registered on the "DO NOT CALL" list, but evidently it doesn't matter since they have called numerous times. Hanging up does NOT stop their calling and it is very irritating since it intrudes upon my sleeping habit. Is there some way to stop these people? They say it is to lower interest on credit cards, but they are fishing. Shouldn't they have fines to pay for calling people on the "DO NOT CALL" list?
