I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
These pests are like slugs.... slimey and hard to get rid of. The DNC list does not deter them. Can someone tell me how to instruct my computer to call the repeatedly?
Rachel from credit card services called again! Logged it again on FTC even though I know it is pointless. This time I pressed "1" and spoke to a live person - Jason - who assured me I would be removed from the list. Anyone want to take bets on that! :(
Nancy, they will keep calling because now they know they have a "live" number and a real person listens to their pitch. The "do not call" list is not good enough. As a matter of fact, I read that these scammers USE the Do Not Call list to harass people! Keep filing with the FTC, FCC & more importantly, the Attorney General's office in your state. They will only act if hundreds of people complain. There are several litigations in place for other telemarketers - let's chip away at these people.
