I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
After not answering a probable medical debt collection call from 202-599-8502 on Jan 30, I got a call from this on Feb 1 and a couple from 503-457-1085 the next day. I didn't renew my little-used but long DNC' listed "insurance" cellphone for over a week, and my Valentines day dinnertime junk call was from 502-632-4314. Plus the junk calls to the number I actually use and give out.
I get frustrated by doctors and insurance companies and their agents who brag about being above the law (whether its the DNC list or HiTech Act or FCRA or HIPAA or the CanSpam Act) because of their size and "connections". I presume the FTC's DNC people and HHS's OCR (which technically have the power to enforce at least these laws) are again zero-budgeted. Call me crazy, but I don't think fraud's a Republican or Democratic problem, but an American problem neither the politicians in congress nor the politician AGs nor the politicians in the Supreme Court are willing to touch.
Obviously a phishing expedition to get credit card numbers and other financial information.
At the first hint you are not interested in talking to them, or in asking THEM questions, they just hang up. No trustworthy company would just hang up when challenged.
