Received a call from the number. Answered as I was curious even though the ID was unavailable. He called me by name and asked if I was still receiving Charisma Magazine any longer. I told him no and he asked if I was receiving any other Christian magazines other than the Bible. Bible isn't a magazine. I am going to check out the Charisma web site and see what I can find out or let them know they are being used.
I received a call from this number at 11:08 a.m. Saturday. Said they audited my Soap Opera Digest account and that I was overcharged on the last subscription. They needed my credit card number to refund the balance. They insisted that I needed to verify the number they had on file for me. They did have the last four numbers of my credit card number. I told them I wouldn't give it over the phone but they insisted they had to have it.
I told them to hold and I would get my card. I put the phone down and walked away. Once they hung up, I blocked their number. The do-not-call list does not work. Find out from your phone company how to block your calls. The call-blocking feature works wonders.
Received numerous calls from these people they use to come up blocked but just recently the number has been showing up 1-305-961-1161 they just called 4:39pm Saturday gentlemen name Frank probably fake name. Saying that they audited our tv guide account and we we're over charged and they needed my credit card number to refund the balance and they we're very pushy about it and they did have the last 4 numbers of my credit card on file but that was my old card that I recently closed and open a new one due to them calling over a week ago being the same way and the number was private when they called and the gentlemen on the phone would not give a manager name or put one on the phone said he only answers to god and hung up. I then talk to our phone company on how to get that number but could not, we also called the 1-800 number in the actual TV guide told them what happen and was informed that a 3rd party took over our account but couldn't tell us how they got our info. Do not give them your info, also look into blocking there calls and lastly get rid of the credit card they have on file. We've told them to cancel the subscription and it's not due to be updated till 2018.
I received a call from this number and was informed that my renewal for TV Guide was coming up and was asked if I wanted to renew. When I told them "NO" he asked for my credit card so he coultd cancel the renewal. He gave me the last four digits of a Visa credit. It was not correct, but he wanted my card number anyway. I was told that I would be charged for a renewal any way because they already had my number. When I refused to comply he got agressive. I told him no again and just hung up.
the call came a 3:46 pm Sat 3/30/2013. My caller ID said " ENT CONSULTING" I answered and said "I don't know who you are and I don't want to talk to you!" and they replied "I don't give a damn" and they hung up.They had a slight jamaican accent.
Initial call from this number offered a "Senior Rate" for a subscription extension for a magazine that I no longer receive. The caller said his records showed that I should still be getting the magazine and asked how long ago the last issue arrived and I told him months ago. He indicated that he would report the problem.
Five minutes later the phone rang again from the same number, but this time with a caller ID of "Magazine House". A different called presented himself as a subscription manager. He verified that I was no longer receiving the magazine in question, asked if there was another magazine that I have been getting. I told him of another subscribed mag. and he offered a reduced "Sr Rate" for a 3-yr extension to that subscription. All I had to do was to verify with him the Credit Card number that they had on file beginning with X. I told him I would not give him my Credit Card number over the phone. He began to get irate with me and said he "would give me an 800 number to call and that I could give them the number, as I would then know who I was talking to, because 800 numbers had to be registered with the Better Business Bureau" As I questioned that he continued to get more and more irate and abusive, until I hung up on him.
