i live in Australia, and "Futron software" called me to tell me to fix my windows 7. instantly realised it was a scam, did not give my home number out and he dodged questions when i asked about how he got my number, and if he worked for microsoft.
Definitely a scam. Call back, he'll answer, you can give him a piece of your mind. I told him he was better than scamming and he should get an honest job. So if the phone calls end tonight, I want some credit!!! Don't believe a word!!!!!!!
We have had 3 calls from this fellow in one night. Very persistant, saying our computer is close to being totally corrupted. He wanted us to type in 'inf' in the search line, but at that point we decided to check with our computer friend, and he did NOT want to let us get off the phone. He kept saying, I just want to help you and you need to type such-and-such. I asked for his number and it took awhile but eventually he gave it to me.
I received a telephone call from a man with an east indian accent who asked if I had a computer. When I said yes he told me my computer was downloadinf junk - I hung up - he called back and
said sorry we had been disconnected but that my comuter was downloading junk - this time I said I do not have a compuster and he hung up. Micky
