That depends on your carrier, and how they deliver caller ID. I use a VOIP service through Charter Communications, and most of the calls display as "1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx", even within my area code, which is 805.
Called 5 times so far today--four one right after another! Caller ID showed "California" so you know it is a telemarketer.
Call blocked by Sentry robo call blocker, did not ring through, but because of this type of marketing I no longer having any legitimate caller able to get through because ALL calls are blocked unless I recognize and "accept" the number. First time callers can't get through and I don't recognize numbers such as banks, plumbers using their cell phone, etc.
