Unfortunately I got scammed I believe. I will check my Bank Monday morning and see if everything can be blocked. I am a Writer Reporter and I have many friends that are willing to help with this. THey are large and not too friendly at times. And request that if I can find out those people, they will visit them with a Blow Torch. Let your imagination loose.

I was called by "The Publishers" (as she said) three times today. I answered on the last call, and spoke with a women name Cristina. She was very polite, but very rehearsed. She said I was in a million dollar drawing and would receive Cosmopolitan, Brides, and Vogue for free. She then said all of the major credit card companies and asked if I had on of their cards. I told her I did, then she asked which one. I knew something was off.She recited off my address and I confirmed. I was very hesitant about talking with her, but she kept going on and on. She asked me for my age and my job title, and I told her those. Then she said her supervisor would call me back in a few minutes to rate how she did and to give her a good review. Then she finally told me about the 3 magazines that I had to pay for, and was talking so fast that I could barely even understand her. She then said, "My supervisor is tapping on my shoulder right now and would like to speak with you about rating me." I said okay, and then hung up as she was apparently passing over the phone. No personal information was given besides what they already have, and what you can easily find on the internet. I will keep checking my bank statements though. What a scam.

So glad I googled this while on the phone with them!  What can they do with my birth year?  That is all the info I gave along with my address.  I'm worried!

So i recieved this call today but it was a little different. A woman caled said i was entered into a draw for 25,000$ and that I had won a free diamond watch. she asked me to confirm my address which she already had, she DID NOT ask for my credit card info or anything also she DID NOT ASK me to get any magazines she actually never said anything about magazines or me paying for anything, she then told me that my watch would be here in 3-5 days free of shipping and handling, no money was taken out of my account or charged to credit card she actually did not ask what kind of card it was or any info about my banking.. is this a scam??? all of the posts that i have read over 30 posts they all say something about magazines and asked to give ot the card info.. like i said i did not have to do any of that... this happened today so ill see if the watch comes in a few days. does anyone knoow about this particular incident??

i just got the call too!!  the woman only said she was calling from "Publisher's" and told me i was entered to with the Dreams come true sweepstakes of $25,000 cash, a ford explorer or trip valued at blah blah blah.  she said the drawing was may 31st.  She wanted to confirm my mailing address which was the correct one and i said yes and then she went on to say that i have earned a 48 mo free prescuription to my choice of magazines and started listing a bunch of them and when i said i wasn't interested she just hung up!!  it was a 310 area code.  i guess i'll be getting tons of junk mail now.
