They are not supposed to be calling at all if your on the federal DNC period. However, it doesn't stop the illegal ones from doing just that. And yes, they are supposed to place you on a internal DNC when asked also. Charity's, some survey's and political calls are exempt from the DNC and debt collectors have their own set of rules under the FDCPA laws.
ROT, don't answer calls you don't recognize.. And when answered, never give out your information or say yes to anything.
This number calls constantly. So do many other numbers since I spoke with So Cal Edison, asking how I could reduce my month power bill. Interesting, isn't it? I have to believe Edison forwarded my number to these alternative energy people and/or scams? What a shame these days you can't even ask a question now to a company you do business with, without them selling your info to others.
At least once a day, every day they call and hang up. If you call the number back you get mailbox is full for California Energy Solutions. They are located at 281 N Peach Ave, Clovis, CA93612-0218 and the main number is 559-493-9264. I have reported them to BBB. I am on do not call list, but of course, as you all know that doesn't mean anything.
