They are not supposed to be calling at all if your on the federal DNC period. However, it doesn't stop the illegal ones from doing just that. And yes, they are supposed to place you on a internal DNC when asked also. Charity's, some survey's and political calls are exempt from the DNC and debt collectors have their own set of rules under the FDCPA laws.
ROT, don't answer calls you don't recognize.. And when answered, never give out your information or say yes to anything.
The caller Keller Williams called us every 2-3 days. My phone shows : wireless Caller" since 10/02/2013. Some times he uses Keller Williams, (818)851-3617 to call. His last call is 14:47, 11/05/2013. I didn't' answer . I know he is going to see my home. So many people filed report to www. 800notes.com.
Original call was from 310-418-9817. I answered even though it said "unavailable" because I wanted to tell them to not call me anymore. The guy says "but you ever talked to me?" So I blew my whistle in his ear. A few minutes go by and I get a call from this number. I answer but hang up right away. Apparently it went to my voicemail. The jerk played a recorded rap song about how he needs to feed his kids but then goes on to trash women. Nice.
I understand that times are tough. I am making about half of what I made last year and I am having serious financial troubles. But don't call and argue with me when I ask you nicely not to call me. I am on the National Do Not Call list. Does no good.
I have blocked both numbers and will be doing whatever I can to get telemarketers to stop. Maybe if all their workers are deaf, they will stop calling.
Is there another company I can call other than BBB? These solicitors are relentless. This time they didn't hang up, just verified my first & last name, then hung up. I get calls through out the day and night, now I am very short with them and they still argue with me!
I thought there was a law that states they can't call back if we ask to be taken off of their call list?!?!???

This number shows cell phone, CA. This number called my once last week no one answered and once today....I answered. It was a a woman, she said this is Bianca with the power company.....I said WHO IS THIS? She repeated Bianca with the power company then busted up laughing and then hung up. I guess she realized I knew she wasn't Bianca from the power company!!! After reading these posts I wish she does call me back so I can really tell her off..... they call random people pretending to be a power company.....trying to steal....how ridiculous you would play a rap song about how you can't feed your kids to complete strangers that you are prank calling or trying to steal from!!!
