Yes... me too. IRS stated... funny thing is... I'm waiting on a huge refund from the IRS... ain't no way I owe the IRS.... they over taxed and I have a letter stating they are processing my refund. Real scam... recorded haltering speech message. The IRS will write you ... registered letter... the end.
Called and said they are from the IRS, and are going to seize my bank accounts and social security number, and have done an audit, and I owe $2,543.00, complete BS. At least they should have hired people that are more believable than Indian people with a thick accent.
COMPUTER GENERATED voice claiming to be "Agent Heather <something>" from the Internal Revenue Service. Left a voice mail (which is scary, actually they would), that I was "required" to call their number "the very second I received the message", and that the matter was very "time sensitive". This group is above and beyond dangerous, and need to be shut down.
I just received the same a call on my cell. It was a computer generated sounding voice of a women saying; "The issue at hand is extremely 'con-cense-dense', I am Officer Heather Gray with the Internal Revenue Service, the hotline to my position is 310-307-2213, I repeat 310-307-2213. Don't disregard this message and do call before we take action against you, goodbye and take care". Take care!?? Are you kidding me!! How bogus is that! Lol!
Obviously this is a scam. Poor grammar and English. Not a human persons voice, drawn out slow and strange. The "hotline" to my position?!! Are you kidding me, HOTLINE! Lol! My fav was the trying to say "confident", (con-cense-dense)! They must view Americans as complete idiots to try pull this off. But I guess unfortunately some of us are if they are getting by with this. Trust me, the IRS would never contact you in this way! Beware!! And don't call that number back!
Says its urgent and time sensitive matter. If I don't return the call as soon as possible legal action will be taken. They claim to be the IRS "agent Heather Graham." It was a robo voicemail message.
