I just received a phone call advising me that I am being sued and to contact a lawyer name Dexter Cruz within 2 hours . He requested my cell phone number which I refused to give. Told him I would call this "attorney" if I felt like it. I grew suspicious when I heard the heavy indian accent, if and he calls back I will tell him to ' suck rope'!
this guy tried to tell me I owe money and they are going to have me arrested. The accent is was indian and I knew something was not right. His name is Sam Scott a fake attorney in California. He claims is client has a case against me for non payment of a payday loan. Totally bogus.
me too they even called my work saying if my attorney doesnt call them quote we feel sorry for you but it is noy my ss number then he had the nerve to ask what it is
I told them that I was going to call the local police and have them look into the issue as well as have my attorney look into the claim. A man named, Bryan Scott, was very quick to tell me not to call them and they will not call me anymore. Be sure to alert your bank to be on the look out for any small debits from your account. $30-50 this is how they really make their money. I have dealt with a company based out of CA last year and if it had not been going and looking on line regarding the number, I would have never of found out that the company was a scam. The people will call if you entertain them, but ask for everyone's name, why they are calling, where the law firm is located, and can they fax/e-mail you information. This will cause them to stop calling. Plus, let them know that you are going to have your local police. Just somethings that I have learned from my dealing with this type of situation last time.: #1. You CANNOT be arrested for defaulting on a payday loan. #2. Filling out or buying anything on line leaves you open to this type of scam because that is how they get their information. #3. Just be aware that they are using generic names and if you ask enough questions, they will leave you alone. Plus, it doesn't hurt to block their number.
They are constantly calling me harrassing me telling me about a payday loan that I never received. They have my social security number also. This is a scam. This law office doesnt exist.
