I received 1 call from this number at 3:47pm est - my boyfriend answered, they asked for me, he told him I was at work...also asked if they wanted to leave a message and they said no and quickly hung up. I'm also on the Do Not Call Registry. No idea what the company is or what they want. I hope they do not call again.
got a call from this number-girl on other end told me that either my bank or credit card company had entered me in a drawing for one of four prizes and that I had made it into the top 500 out of several thousand. Asked me which prize I was interested in and verfified my name and shipping address. Then went on to try to give me "free" subscription to magazines. Was told that I could get four magazines for free if I only subscribe to one weekly magazine-this was supposedly to increase volume and magazine awareness. I made a selection, was never asked for credit card information and the call was terminated. About an hour later someone else called me wanting credit card information, I promptly told them I wasn't interested nor comfortable with this and hung up. Since then I received about 35 phone calls a day for the first week. They have since died down a bit, hopefully they will get the hint and stop.
I got the same call today -- you've one a gift, drawing Dec 31, we have to confirm information, blah blah blah. I asked who -- She said "Publisher's Headquarters". I asked if she had checked the Do Not Call list. She hung up.
