Huge scammers!!!! Yesterday he was Jack Dawson and today who know who he is. He left me two voicemails this morning threatening me. First of all if there were pending criminal anything against you they wouldn't hire someone like this to call you and warn you first...duh. if you take out a loan and don't pay it back it simply goes on your credit or collections and they can get a judgement against you to collect but they cannot press criminal charges against you. So these guys are just idiots. Ask them to send you the proof in writing (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b) that your claim is disputed and validation is requested.) also let them know If your offices are able to provide the proper documentation as requested in the following Declaration, I will require at least 30 days to investigate this information and during such time all collection activity must cease and desist. Also, I would also like to request, in writing, that no telephone contact be made by your offices to my home or to my place of employment. If your offices attempt telephone communication with me, including but not limited to computer generated calls and calls or correspondence sent to or with any third parties, it will be considered harassment and I will have no choice but to file suit. All future communications with me MUST be done in writing and sent to the address noted in this letter by USPS. This should take care of them.
i had one from a steven johnson he said i was going 2 get arrested if i did not payusa cash advance. i sent them a note 2 pay. than someone else called me and told me about them. so now i am not paying them.next time i will no better.
Please someone direct me to a place to report these callers. They keep calling my phone saying that I owe money to Fast Cash and if I don't pay they will have me arrested. I don't owe anybody anything. I don't even know a Fast Cash. I am sick of this. The authorities need to do something about this harassment to hard working, law abiding citizens that do honest work for a living.
Every state has an attorney general's office - contact them - usually an email is fine - and provide them as much information as possible about the caller, i.e. phone number, name (phony as it may sound!), etc. - they have attorneys who will handle and it won't cost you a dime. These fraudulent people need to be STOPPED immediately. Good luck to you!
Heather - send an email to your attorney general's office in your state with as much information as you can provide - caller's name (phony as it might be), their phone #, etc. They have attorneys who can track down and handle these fraudulent people on your behalf since they are violating the federal Fair Debt Act BIG time. This won't cost you anything. I got caught in this trap a few years ago and thought about hiring a lawyer but that would've been too costly. Good luck to you!
