This company has called me from four different numbers: 202-607-2932 310-862-9031, 323-372-6326, & 571-261-0072 with different variations of the company name on the caller ID ( NCO FINANCIAL, NCO, & NCO FINCL SVCS) They leave no messages and hang up when you pick up the phone. I do not have a Capital One or Monster.com account but I have received correspondence from Capitol via US mail trying to sign me up for a credit card with them.

Ask to speak to a supervisor, explain that they are in error. Tell them that as soon as you hang up, you are calling your police department to file a complaint. If you have told them you are not the person they are looking for, if you have told them they are not to call again & that YOU ARE THE OWNER OF THE PHONE NUMBER, it is ILLEGAL for them to call back. If they ask your name or other identifying info, it is none of the darn business. Just reiterate that you are not the person they are trying to reach & that you don't know that person.
Can we say, "Sue's a hater?" Many people make spelling mistakes when they are ticked off. You must be perfect... wow!!!! I didn't know that when you were growing up!
A lot of new cell phones have the ability to block a number. I've gotten calls from both the 310-862-9031 and 800-883-0613 numbers. I've blocked them both on my cell phone.
