I have been getting these calls regularly. Today I asked again to remove my number and do not call again. I was told he would not remove my number and he would call again. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told "no" I would talk to him first. As I was hanging up he muttered something about $34.00 a call. There must be a way to stop these calls. It will not be answered again. Caller ID was Brill Street L
Have been getting calls from this number... I have told them not interested, stop calling.. Calls continued. Last call from them I told them I was going to trace the number and get their location. The person on the phone told me to "F@?$ off" interesting how professional they are.
Got call at 7:44am from Brill Street L, 1-312-282-4832. Foreign accent guy "Jack" wants to check computer for malware. Said he is from Windows Tech Support. Asked him to call back in 4 hours. Jack called at 12:03pm, caller id showed "Brampton On. 1-905-846-6325. Told him I ran a scan on computer, no issues. I told him I did not need his help. He was unhappy.
This is the "we are calling from Microsoft Windows" scam. Best quick response is to tell them you don't have a computer and see how fast they hang up without a word (especially since their message is that your computer is sending out bad data to the internet and must be stopped).
Called at 7:50am on a Saturday. Indian accent, said he was calling from Windows--that's when I hung up on him because I've heard this scam from family & friends.
