My mother got a call this mornings from Arnold Scott Harris, telephone number 312-423-7375. Around 1:30p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2009 two black men appeared at the door, saying they were sheriffs, named Scott and Mike. They did not show any identification; however, they said they were going to return later.
This a law firm attempting to collect fines you've already paid. They will wait until years after you've paid the fine and then demand a payment receipt you may have discarded or threaten a collection preceding. They may not even have your correct name or address but will seek to verify both. They are recording your call; tell them nothing.
claim to be a law firm representing the State of Kansas Dept of Revenue. Any issues I had with them have been resolved many years ago. I agree with the other poster that this outfit is probably fishing for info to make you think you have to pay them something. Since they are from ILL, I would not be surprised if it's not something to do with oboma harassing a conservative (me) I set this number up with a special ring tone ... which is 1 second of silence. You can record your own if you can't find it on google.
I just got phone call from this number and said it's a law firm. A woman told me I have a balance amount more than $1000 on my 2012 tax payment. However, my total income in 2012 is less than $5000, how could it be? They have my last SSN number and my old address. Is this a data leak?
