I just got a voicemail from this "Sheila Carson" person.  There was no number to call back, though, other than what showed up on the caller ID.  (312-423-7468)  I have an outstanding parking ticket, but I've been fighting the city on it for almost a year now, as they ticketed me for not having a city sticker when I HAD a city sticker.  I don't want my credit ruined, but after reading this page I'm skeptical.

My parent's received a call this morning asking for me...I haven't lived there in alomost 8 years.  They had my maiden name.  When I called back I was transferred all around.  I'm still on the phone with them and am now speaking to person number 4. The number I was given to call back is 866-425-7604.  Sounds like they got wise to the local numbers....

These scammers called my moms house which I havent lived at for over 2 years this morning. She gave me the msg so I called to see what the call was about. Frank Clark tried to say I owed a few hundred to the city college of chicago for unpaid tuition from 1996, 13 years ago. never once have I gotten a notice from the college at my moms house in the previous 10+ years when I lived there. Not a phone call. Suddenly this place wants to set up a payment plan. Also, I found out a month ago they ran my credit report. Big no no. These guys buy old debts & try to collect on them to make money. He tried to say there is no statue of limitation on my debt but there is. Its not a student loan. There is no signed contract. It was classes I dropped outside the time frame to get a full refund. If you admit its your debt or start payments, they can reopen the staute of limitations so if they contact you send a certiied letter saying to cease & desist. The college had maybe up to 8 years if they wanted to take me to court over the money but 13 years later, even if I did go to court the judge would drop the case for it being so long ago. Bottom line, ignore these fools & dont pay them
