Asked me my address and wanted to know if I still lived at the address he was reading to me. I would not answer any of his questions until he told me who he was and why he was calling. He hung up on me when I wouldn't answer his questions.
Ummm ya. I think if the FBI was after you they'd show up at your door. Even regular police stations don't call people they are looking for. They show up at your door or send a summons.
I am getting calls over and over again from these numbers with no message. Yes, I have debt but the best advice I have gotten is to work directly with the creditor that the "debt collector" is trying to collect on. If you answer the call, and someone is actually on the other end, find out what creditor they are trying to collect for. If you do have a debt with that creditor, tell them you will call the creditor and work with them directly. If you do not, request to be put on the DNC list as you have no association with that creditor. I get these calls all the time due to medical debt. Very frustrating but am working toward getting it cleaned up.
