An Indian man kept calling me.. I finally answered today and he told me he was from a civil fraud service and that I had a 3 charge major lawsuit pending with a cash advance corporation and if I didn't pay to resolve the issue today they would push forward and go ahead with the suit.
The scary part, they knew the last four of my social and my d/o/b. Really scary.
i got this same call from Indian man "Peter Jones" said he had my social security number and is filing charges against me for money. Said he had social security number and won't stop calling till i pay. I do not owe any money. What should be done? Said he will call me everyday.
I would gather all the information you can from this guy who is calling. Ask him to slowly spell his name and give you a phone number where your lawyer can call him at. (Just make him think he will receive a phone call from a lawyer - you don't need to actually have one). Then I would a) call your local police department and ask to talk to someone in Fraud and report that you may be a victim of identity theft, and b) once you mention, to the guy on the phone that your lawyer will call him, I bet you don't get any more phone calls!
I too had an Indian Guy (Muslim/Hindu) with a strong accent. He demanded that I pay a fine or legal action will be taken. He said I owed for a cash advance, which I did, BUT it was already paid off. He calls early in the morning I told him I do not owe any money and He kept insisting that "this call is being recorded and I will be sued" He knew the last 4 digits of my social security number. He called me at least 8 times on a Friday, morning hours. I hung up on him, he even called me back threatening me because I had hung up on him. He kept saying my 300 dollar bill was going to go up to 11,000 dollars!!! Well, This morning, Monday he called me again I finally yelled and told him to basically go F--- himself and go to hell. Funny thing is is when I had taken my cash loan, he knew which company it was through. I have already called the comapny and they too said beware it is a hoax/scam and that the FBI and Better Business Bureau are on him....Do not give him any credit card info!!! Do what I did, tell him off and that You have turned him in!!! He will not call back.
I have been getting phone calls on my cell phone and at work saying that i have so many days to pay money for a loan that i didnt even get. he is rude and has cussed out my manager at work. says hes an attorney for cash advance. He had got me all worried. He says his name is Ross Taylor and you cant hardly understand him. What should i do?
