This foreign sounding guy called me 24 times today! On the last call I had my husband answer and identify himself as my attorney, which he really is. They have not called back since that call!
I just got called from this number today while at work. The funny thing is I didn't know he called but he left 2 voice mails. His accent is so thick I couldn't understand a word he said and I had one of my coworkers listen to it and that's how I got the number. I called it back to see what it was about. He claimed that I owed $300 from a pay day advance place and that I had 2 ways to resolve it, either pay now which was over $500 because of fees and stuff or he would send my file to the sheriffs office. It was crazy how he had my email, current address, knew where I worked or at least the name of the company and the last 4 digits of my social security number. I was really upset and asked how he had my current address and that the last pay day advance place that I owed money to I already paid off and it was years ago and if I really did owe any money they wouldn't have my current info any way to get in contact with me. I kept asking him questions which was throwing him off like whats the name of this location I owe and how long ago was this due. I then was like I don't understand what your trying to tell me so since you have all my info I want you to send me documents that explains all of this. He then hung up on me.
I called him back and he was like why you call back and I said I want the paper works that explain all of this because you threaten to take away my freedom if I don't pay something I cant afford to pay and don't owe. I went off on him and he hung up again. I called back several times and he wouldn't pick up. I then called from my work phone and got a different but real place of business that explained that this has been happening to several people. I cant believe this guy really tried to scam over $500 from me. I'm glade I'm not one of those people that suckered by him, I'm sorry for those that did but you got to be careful know a days. Really think about it before just giving your money away over the phone. Especially with so call debt collectors or anyone. If your a real business why wouldn't you have the paper work to back up your claims against me.
I have gotten 5 calls just today withing minutes I told "Peter Jones" that I had contacted my lawyer and he hung up he had all my info bank account ssn address but he hung up when i said i contacted my lawyer
I had this man by the name of Peter Jones calling me. He has an indian accent and said that i owed for loan that i never got of 300.00. I told him that i talked to the FBI and my lawyer and he said that we would have papers filed and saupena me. So i told him to go for it and haven't heard from him since.
