You really have oversized blinders on. America is a socialist country, as is any working society (recognize the same root word?). Why do you think we were all required to take "Social Studies" in school? Without social programs, there would be no towns, counties, states, schools, postal system, law enforcement, fire departments, roads, bridges, etc. etc. etc.
And, you're also leaving out the reality that Republicans controlled our state legislature, and governorship, for 30-40 of the past 70 years.
Then, almost as though on cue, you toss in God, as if that's got anything to do with governance.
You come across as a typical conservative -- ignoring facts while spewing emotional rhetoric. I wonder... how much have you given in service to your fellow man and/or Country?
What you need to do is tell them you do not want to receive their calls, and make sure you do a opt out with all the political parties. Then, if you receive calls, go that persons web site and under their contact us page, write them and tell them to place you on their internal dnc list and also there is a political do not call you can sign up for. I did and also tell them to use that list and give them the url for it. I have not gotten any calls for years now. Not even political survey's. So it does help to follow the steps.

The other thing that will help, if you have a cell phone, if it doesn't already have call blocking, there are free call blocking apps online you can get for some phones. If you have a land line, google call blocking devices. There are phones also available with call blocking but they do not hold as many numbers as devices do. Many of the devices run around 60.00
Interesting about the political calls, but WAY too much work. Easier to block them.
BTW, Panasonic makes a number of phones that allow blocking.
I recently purchased a new one that blocks 250 numbers, which should be more than sufficient and a huge upgrade over my previous Panasonic that could block 20.
Devices hold way more numbers- up to 1500 plus area codes and some are on sale at the moment for under 40. Noted some new models have even more benefits as well. And not doing your foot work - way too lazy! Only takes a few moments to do.
