This is not exactly the prime forum to engage in political debate, but you started it. And, people like yourself really fry me.
"a great Anerican that will help Illinois get out of the mess that the socialist Democrats got us in to over the last 70 years"
You really have oversized blinders on. America is a socialist country, as is any working society (recognize the same root word?). Why do you think we were all required to take "Social Studies" in school? Without social programs, there would be no towns, counties, states, schools, postal system, law enforcement, fire departments, roads, bridges, etc. etc. etc.
And, you're also leaving out the reality that Republicans controlled our state legislature, and governorship, for 30-40 of the past 70 years.
Then, almost as though on cue, you toss in God, as if that's got anything to do with governance.
You come across as a typical conservative -- ignoring facts while spewing emotional rhetoric. I wonder... how much have you given in service to your fellow man and/or Country?
Since both candidates are a couple of sleaze balls and the other fellow has not invaded my privacy, I now know who to vote for. Political candidates do not need to comply with the DNC but should realize that folks that register on the DNC don't want ANY worthless calls.
Oh noooooooooooooo the poliiCalls begin. Bruce Rauner...<click>
Re: that http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php link -- DONT BOTHER. I have read everything under the sun and even called AT&T recently to ask WHY we have to endure these calls (and I'm getting sick of the charities being able to call, too, and then the scammers pretending to be political or charities) - there is no such thing as opting-out
Just to test this link I went and saw -- yep! the 'need' your email address (and there is NO reason they need this - think about it) and then ask you to pick your carrier AND and if you have a land line or wireless (see where it's going here? if not read on) and then 'see' if they have Political Robo Blocking. ALL THIS IS JUST GENERATING A MARKETING LIST for whoever these people are.
I tried every single combination for every single service and NO ONE has blocking of political calls, which we all know and there are no plans to do so. Exempting Political and charity calls is a federal law- the phone companies can't just "decide" they are going to disallow this. BUT this "org" has your email and what service you use (I put in a bogus email). And I suspect they then sell this to all the phone telemarketers and cable people who want to sell you cell service or whatever else.
I agree, way to many wannabe elected MORON's calling. I bought a t-lock pro call blocker and it's GREAT for all these political calls starting, well worth the $39.00. Blocks up to 1500 numbers, not to often I'll endorse a product but when you get all these it's worth the peace of mind.
