Caller ID said Chicago, IL, which that area code is correct for a Chicago number. Didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message...hung up before answering machine started-must be one that has called several times before knowing how many rings it take to get the the answering machine and I doubt it's Wells Fargo they would use an 888/800 area code
Recd a call from this number today...didn't answer the phone, but looking at these previous posts, i have no idea why anyone at Wells Fargo would be calling me.
Received two calls back to back from this number at 8:30 PM, whoever it was called and hung up when my answering machine picked up the call then called back seconds later probably hoping I will pick up the phone. I doubt this is Wells Fargo. I don't think telemarketers can call that late at night and they can't call someone back to back.
Received a call from this number today (Wedn 9/7/11). It would have been around 10:30pm Chicago time. When I answered the guy asked for my wife. I said she wasn't available and he said he "didn't really have a message to leave". I asked what the call was regarding and he dodged the question and hung up quickly. I called the number back and got this recording:
Thank you for calling CPP North America, a leading director marketer of consumer membership programs. If this phone number was left on your caller id, we were attempting to contact you regarding a membership opportunity. If you would like to leave a message please press 1.
Upon pressing 1, the message "Thank you for your call" is played, then dead air, and after a few seconds it hangs up with a beep-beep-beep disconnected tone. No opportunity to actually leave a message.
