Got a call from this number. No one on other end. When i called the number back, a recording said "call is no longer in service". How can a number be no longer in service if they just called?
How can you report potential scam numbers that are made to a cell phone? I received a call at 3:23PM CST today. I've seen the number come through before but haven't answered as unfamiliar number.
Do we contact cell phone provider, home service phone provider if different from cell phone or some federal agency?
I got a call from them, I could be wrong, but for everyone who worked there, their accent sounded slightly Quebequois, but it was obvious that English was not their first language, there was a man, and a woman, the man told me flat out that they were fooling my caller ID with a computer, and I managed to get him to give me the name of two websites, one that didn't exist, and another that belonged to another company who never heard of educationlink, not to mention they sounded absolutely unprofessional, they said educationlink.com, and my Comcast said the website isn't even registered at all... also, they should've said "www." they refused to give me an address or contact information, at first they said they couldn't even give me the name of their company, they asked for my mother's maiden name, and I asked them if they wanted my Social Security # they said Houston TX, and I scared them with all the questions I was asking, especially after I got him to mention he used caller ID fooling software! They called on December 26th, 2011 it is illegal for telemarketers to work on this day, also the post office, government offices, and Libraries were also closed...
The man and woman were sitting next to each other, and I heard them whispering, and the lady sounded like she did not know what was happening, and they kept pressing for as much personal info as they could, (they even asked for my Mother's Maiden name, which only banks ask you, & even my phone number which they called, yeah, I know...)
