Same as other reports, said there was serious legal action, and asked for someone I did not recognize. They said they would take my number off "the list". Not sure what the purpose of this could be.
claiming to be part of a legal processing services company for a payday advance from 2010. would not provide reference number or date or company of payday advance. had my personal information.
I received a call from this number this afternoon on a work-supplied cell phone. I didn't listen very long before hanging up on them. Seemed to be from some lawyer/debt collection agency but didn't listen long enough to hear everything he was saying. Since it was to a company supplied cell phone that I've only had a few months and not given out to the public, I assumed it was some scam caller and had better things to do than to listen to some phishing attempt.
Yes I've been getting same calls and its scary because I came close to actually calling these people out of curiosity. I had a guy named Justin, and some Thomas guy leave messages
Some guy John Thomas called me. I never answered and I will not call back. My reasoning is, If you have my name and pertinent information and want to serve papers on me, go ahead and do so. I wont pay you even if I owed you!!! Just called out the blue. What a scam@!!!
