I got a call and they left a message for a Nancy Pitkin with a case number and a call back number. I looked it up and found this site. It was a computer voice and I know I'm not in any trouble so I will ignore the phone call and send the number to my reject list.
This is my second post!!!! I was able to get through and she answered the phone call this time had me on hold along time...She wanted to verify my birth date when i told her i was not going to verify anything man did she get mad.She told me she did not have time to play around concerning this. I told her I did not understand what she was talking about and I requested everything in writing and she told me they tried 2 times to deliver letters to me but i was not available so i asked her who tried to deliver these letters and right you got it no answer!!! I did get the extension for that number as 6506 and her name as Melissa Ashley. It seems like there only 2 of them, a women and a man both with very distinct voices, as soon as I hear the voice on the machine I know who it is...
I just received this same call and tried to call back. If this is a scam, then there will definitely be legal action taken because I currently work at a very prestigous law firm.
I just received the same call each day it's a different number but same massage it's to the point i want to change my number. This scam is getting to be a bit old.
they have called twice this week asking for the person who originally had this number over 4 +years ago .. I used to get calls from him all the time because apparently he owes a lot of people money and or drugs but over the past few years they had stopped .. I just figured he was at it again .. but I guess it's a scam, thanks guys!
I have also received 2 calls this week . First call said that there was fraud associated with my name and social security number. The second call said there was a civil charges against my name and social security number. The name they gave is a former name I haven't used for 8 years. Called my local police , they said it sounded like a scam, she suggest I call Detroit police , where the call originated from, I did and they said they couldn't help me. It is aggravating, I blocked the number on my cell, but I am sure they will use a new number to call me. I have noticed everybody having this problem , all started this week.
