I work for CarMax, and received a call from this number yesterday. (While I was at work, actually!) So I doubt they're behind this. (Also, we're based in Richmond, VA, not Detroit.)
I don't know who this is, but I called back and it told me to press to be put on a do not call list. I just hung up.

I pressed 1 to ask them to remove me from calling list. Is there any problem?

Missed (thankfully) their call and voicemail (hung up) to my cell. I have never used Carmax. so doubtful it is them.

I have been getting calls on both my cell and landline from this number. When I answered on the landline I was told my SUV warranty was about to expire, then the rep said I could purchase an extension. I don't own a vehicle now or in the past decade. I have not applied to purchase a vehicle, sought any info about getting a vehicle, or filled out anything online or in person! I have no explanation of how my phone numbers were acquired either. Also, when I asked for my numbers to be taken off the call lists the rep hung up. When I tried to call back I was unable to get anything except a busy signal.

I recieved one today about half an hour ago and for 1 minute straight all I heard was an airplane and then the call was hung up .
